Cyber Threat Actor Industry Impacted: ANY

Researchers at IBM X-Force and Intezer detail a newly identified ransomware dubbed PureLocker, which originates from the Golden Chickens Malware-as-a-Service (MaaS) discovered by QuoINT in 2018. In October 2019, QuoINT became aware of the PureLocker ransomware strain, but we internally track it as TerraCrypt.

 

Vulnerabilities Industry Impacted: Information Technology

In this month’s Patch Tuesday, Microsoft released 74 security fixes for vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Office, Internet Explorer, Edge, and more. Microsoft rates 13 of the 74 vulnerabilities as Critical remote code execution (RCE) flaws, including one in Internet Explorer currently exploited in the wild.
