Two contributors of the OpenPGP community discovered a public certificate poisoning attack, which abuses an inherent flaw (CVE-2019-13050) in the OpenPGP protocol. A successful attack could result in a denial of service condition against the local GnuPG (an implementation of OpenPGP) instance, rendering it unusable.

In the last seven days, QuoINT has detected two new Cobalt Group attributed spear phishing campaigns delivering the CobInt malware. The campaigns targeted the financial sector and individuals located primarily in Europe, with other varying locations including Central America and the Middle East.

Over previous months, the semiconductor industry was severely affected by geopolitical and trade tensions. Due to global supply chains for technology products, export controls on certain countries also had an impact on companies operating internationally.
