Press Statement – Wednesday, 3 July 2019: QuoScient and VMRay Announce Partnership for Malware Analysis Integration

3. July 19

QuoScient and VMRay have successfully implemented an integration between QuoScient’s core product QuoLab and VMRay Analyzer. QuoScient is the first cyber security company built by operators for operators while VMRay provides automated malware analysis and detection solutions to effectively help enterprises minimize business risk, and protect valuable data.

QuoLab has successfully integrated VMRay’s hypervisor-based dynamic analysis technology into its ecosystem. QuoLab users can now automatically submit any potentially malicious samples to VMRay and acquire detailed analysis information.

In addition to the full spectrum of malware analysis functionality offered by QuoLab users can now aggregate and correlate information retrieved from sample analysis in VMRay. There users can browse and download complete reports from the files submitted for analysis.

For the forensic and malware teams as well as for any other security professionals this means that they can automate the analysis process, save time and use QuoLab as a central location for malware and reverse engineering activities.

By combining all the relationships offered by the graph data model in QuoLab, users can gain deeper visibility of previous threats and help them discover any future threats posing to their organizations.

Next to the dynamic analysis QuoLab offers variety of tools to support this process as part of the application store such as the function tool, malware tool and many more.

“QuoScient and VMRay have shared values of engineering excellence and both companies lead with the most effective security solutions our technology can provide for our customers,” said Dr. Carsten Willems, Co-Founder and CEO of VMRay. “Our unique approach to malware analysis, combining our evasion-resistant hypervisor-based dynamic analysis with layers of fast static analysis and reputation checks, is a great complement to QuoScient’s QuoLab. This combination gives their users full visibility into every aspect of malware behavior and all the information they need to respond quickly and effectively.”

“I am very happy to join forces with another young leading German company by integrating our core products to offer our customers the best-in class functionality, when it comes to state of the art malware analysis. Personally, I am a great fan of VMRay’s work, because we think alike about what efficient and effective security operations should be from a user’s perspective. Again, this integration partnership is from security operators for security operators, we are confident to provide real added value to customers with this combination”, emphasizes Fabien Dombard, CEO and co-founder of QuoScient.
